Christian Rural Aid Network (CRAN) was set up in 1993 as a non-profit, non-governmental rural development advocacy and relief agency for the poor, vulnerable women, and children who live in distressed communities in Ghana.
"Friends of CRAN USA is dedicated to raising awareness about CRAN's activities in the US, and providing financial assistance through fundraisings to support projects and operations in Ghana.
All resources and funds raised are directed 100% towards projects in Ghana such as building of schools in deprived communities, sponsorship for brilliant but needy students, community church planting, among others.
Since its inception, CRAN has facilitated the construction of over 5 educational facilities (ICT lab, Teacher’s residences, a Library, and 12 Schools) and provided scholarships to over 200 students from poor backgrounds through its Child Education Support Scheme (CESS).
CRAN USA will support CRAN Ghana to put up more schools in deprived communities and reach many more needy students to pursue their education from elementary school through college. Detailed information on these and other projects can be found
here.
CRAN USA is registered as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization with federal ID # 84 – 3893846."
